Philip Bourgeois from Houston, Texas / The Woodlands grew up in Huntsville, TX. Having lived all over the state, including Dallas, San Antonio and Houston, Philip knows Texas well. He went to the University of North Texas and Studied Finance. He was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity in college at Sam Houston State University before transferring to UNT. He enjoys spending time with his nephews and family in College Station.
Philip works for a financial services company as a Regional Planning Consultant. He is also a Certified Financial Planner. He has helped many of his clients create retirement plans and address their concerns around the various topics of personal finance. Today, he works with Financial Consultants to create coaching and development plans to help them overcome unique challenges. In addition to coaching and development plans, he leads seminars and coordinates meetings with other regional partners to ensure his clients are receiving the best of what he has to offer.
Philip has worked mainly in the financial services industry since graduating from college; he has been in 5 different roles in 7 years. He plans on staying with his current firm for as long as possible. He is currently studying for the GMAT and is looking to attend graduate school and obtain his MBA starting next fall.
Travel, the outdoors, hiking, fishing, kayaking, mountain biking, tennis, video games, golf, disc golf and reading. Philip has played the guitar since he was 16. He plans to visit two different countries per year. He has traveled to Aruba, Thailand, Dubai, Mexico and the majority of the United States. He enjoys his work in finance, but would love to volunteer more and give back to the community.
His favorite sports teams are: Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, Dallas Mavericks
